Your retailers commit to orders months ahead.
Why Spring.
Questions, answered.
Capital sized to the orders your retailers have committed to for the coming quarter, so production can be funded before the purchase orders or invoices exist. Spring pays your manufacturers for the run and can add working capital alongside it; you repay in equal monthly installments, typically over six months, at a fixed annual rate with no origination fee and no prepayment penalty. Unlike factoring, you repay it rather than your retailer, and it carries a security interest in the business; the amount and terms are spelled out before you sign. Brands use it for a seasonal build or a regional grocery rollout. See demand plan financing.
US brands with retailer demand plans on the books: the orders your retailers have committed to for the coming quarter. Spring sizes the funding to that plan before the purchase orders or invoices exist and pays your manufacturers directly for the run. If you already hold a signed purchase order, purchase order financing is the closer fit, and once goods ship and are invoiced, invoice factoring applies. See demand plan financing.
One financing fee, at a fixed annual rate, charged only on what you draw. There is no origination, unused-line or monitoring fee, no commitment period and no prepayment penalty. You repay in equal monthly installments, typically over six months, as the orders ship, and the rate and amount are spelled out before you sign.
A bank line advances about 80% of invoiced receivables and 50% of the inventory you already hold, so it funds what you have already done. Demand plan financing is sized to the plan and funds production before the orders ship, without consuming your cash or your investors' equity, and it grows as your demand grows. There are no unused-line or monitoring fees.
Spring never takes equity. Invoice factoring and PO financing are a sale of your receivables: the retailer pays Spring directly under a notice of assignment, and you sign a Validity Agreement (your promise that the invoices and what you tell us are genuine) rather than a personal guarantee of repayment. Bridge Funding takes an interest only in the receipts it purchased, with a limited validity guaranty; demand plan financing does carry a lien on business assets. Whatever applies is stated in your offer documents before you sign.
